The producer price index, which measures pipeline costs for raw, intermediate and finished goods, jumped 0.6% on the month, double the Dow Jones estimate.

On a year-over-year basis, the headline index increased 1.6%, the biggest move since September 2023

Two-thirds of the rise in headline PPI came from a 1.2% surge in goods prices, the biggest increase since August 2023, thanks to a 4.4% jump in energy.

Retail sales increased 0.6%, less than expected, while weekly jobless claim filings nudged lower to 209,000.

Thank ya, Joe. You are 100% responsible for this. And, you're proud of doing it!

People who drive cars, eat in restaurants and use toilet paper are reminded regularly that Joe and his string-pullers have been an, as po'd say, EFFINdisaster.

And remember with pedojoe says that inflation is so good, They're not telling you there was first the 9%, then inflation started "falling" and according to them is "only" 3%. Unfortunately, they're lying to you. The inflation since he's been in is ~12%. ANY growth in inflation (which is almost always) means inflation is higher. It's "simple" math they're lying to you about. It's "another" one of the playing with numbers.

And to be sure. EVERY President plays with the numbers somehow. You have to understand what numbers are used, and are not used. For pedojoe, Fuel is NOT used. Nor are groceries. That seems a little strange to me, but if you want to hide costs, that's a great way.

Generally also, the "employment Rate" may or may not include part time jobs. Another question to ask. So all of you economic experts our there, make sure you add in the needed information.

Corporate America gouging consumers. We've been over this - it's not inflation when profits increase with the price increase. Presidents - "both" (🙄) sides - have nothing to do with it. You want gas prices (energy) down? Vote GOP - Exxon will lower their prices like they have done historically for every GOP president.

Indy- The only reason it is the "presidents" issue is because they claim it.

Again, it's how they handle employment. And yes, in that case they have sometimes a very heavy hand in the employment and inflation rates. pedojoe sold off our oil reserves. Now we have to buy from Russia and be their little bitches. He sold recently, our NE heating oil reserves. Granted we may not use them for the next six months, and they're not ours to use. We re-buy at another 50% raise in cost. Someone got paid off to sell and rebuy. Russia is pedojoe's biggest supporter. We're helping him destroy Ukraine and making us spend more (without profit).

    HtS,
So is Donald Trump’s record as president off-limits? I strongly suspect the Biden campaign not shy away from talking about Donald Trump‘s mistakes and problems as president.

My point is that your only justification of the "dithering and diminished" "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" is to suggest that Trump is worse. You leave acres and acres of prime real estate for your Doddering Old Fool to be very, very bad... pathetically bad.

If I were trumpster, I'd be hitting the economy hard right now. And really hammering the "underemployed" rate. That's what people actually care about. How far does my dollar go, what can I buy for that dollar?

How much is a gallon of gas? $1 MORE than when trumpster was in? Ya don't say.

That meat is $3 more a package? since pedojoe got in office?

And now I have to be very selective about what school my grandkids go to so my granddaughters won't get abortions without their parents knowledge?

    WTF is going on?

  9. by HatetheSwamp on March 15, 2024 11:17 am

    Absolutely.

The issues are lining up against the "dithering and diminished" Doddering Old Fool.

Personal security, i.e. immigration reform. The rise in prices for essentials... food, shelter, transportation.

But Joe did promise to stand up for trans people.

"Biden Promised to Have Trans Americans’ Backs in His State of the Union."
